Update: May 19th 2025
contractor is expecting to close the intersection of CR 300 and Fortville Pike/Franklin Street on or after Monday June 2 and expected to be closed until this fall.

Update: May 1st 2025
The Greenfield Water Utility will be replacing water main on Tyler Ave starting Monday, May 5, 2025. The construction will be from Roosevelt Dr. to 70 Tyler Ave. We anticipate this work to take 2 weeks, weather permitting. Residents will still have access to their homes during this time.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this closure, please contact the City of Greenfield Water Utility at 317-477-4350 during the hours of 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.
Update: April 25th 2025
South Morristown Pike will be closed to through traffic from just south of the Ridges over Brandywine subdivision to the intersection of Morristown Pike and Davis Road for the next 30 days for watermain installation.

Comprehensive Plan Open House
Join us at Hancock County Public Library for a community open house. The open house will have the draft Comprehensive Plan available to view. The community will also have the opportunity to provide feedback and ask questions both during the open house and afterward on this website. 2025 Teen Academy
Applications for the 2025 Greenfield Police Department Teen Academy are now being accepted. The teen academy is FREE for Hancock County residents
Applicants must be 14-17 years of age and have no criminal record.

P&L Tree Trimming
Greenfield Power & Light has contracted an arborist, the tree trimming company Clean Slate, to trim limbs away from the power lines. The arborist will contact homeowners in the areas where Clean Slate will be trimming trees. This work will continue throughout the year.

Water Line Replacement
The Greenfield Water Utility will be collecting an inventory survey of all water service line materials. Crews will be working now through Oct 2024. How can you help?
New Police Dept Contact Map
Sanitary Sewer Cleaning
The Greenfield WasteWater Utility will be cleaning the sanitary sewers in Greenfield as an ongoing project. We will be removing debris and tree roots with a combination of high water pressure and tools designed to accomplish the job.
Golf Cart Registrations

In 2017, the Greenfield City Council pased Ordinance 2017-19 allowing the limited use of golf carts on city streets.
