Sister City Mosaic

In honor of the 30th anniversary of Sister Cities of Greenfield a mosaic was commissioned and is located on the Pennsy Trail near State Road 9. Funding for the mosaic came from a grant from the Hancock County Community Foundation.

The plaque reads:
This mosaic, made possible by a generous grant from the Hancock County Community Foundation commemorates the 30th anniversary in 2020 of Sister Cities of Greenfield.

The Sister Cities' logo was created in 2012 by illustrator, Lucie Rice (www.lucierice.com) and the mosaic was completed this year by WitsEnd mosaic (https://witsendmosaic.com)
Lucie has Indiana connections as she was a 2001 graduate of the University of Evansville. She now resides in Nashville, TN. Another design of hers that can be seen in Indiana is the Midtown Carmel Mural. The mosaic was commissioned through WitsEnd mosaic, which is located in Wisconsin.

Kakuda also had a celebration. It took place in September and was a photo exhibition at their City Hall.
