Update March 13 2024
 
March 18, 2024 through March 29, 2024, the Greenfield Water Utility will begin a water service replacement project on N. Franklin Street. The project will occur between W. Main Street and 7th Street.
 
For this project, Franklin Street will be closed. The roadway will be re-opened during the weekend. Residents will still have access to their homes. The water utility will place road closed signage accordingly.
 
 
UPDATE  March 13 2024
 
Starting March 13, 2024, the contractor for the Greenfield Water Utility will begin a water main replacement project on E. North Street. The project will occur between Spring Street and Howard Street. We anticipate the work to take 6-8 weeks, weather permitting.
 
For this project, there will be road closures along North Street during working hours. The roadway will be re-opened each evening. Residents will still have access to their homes. The contractor will place road closed signage accordingly, for the area they are working in. We ask that during the road closures, residents refrain from parking along the roadway.
 
 
UPDATE: Feb 8th 2024
 
Greenfield Wastewater will begin sanitary line cleaning begining February 12th and continuing through February 29th. The work will be preformed North State St to Howard St between East North st and East Boyd st.
 
 
 
UPDATE: Feb 6th, 2024
 
Candlelite Subdivision. Greenfield Wastewater Collection crews will begin sanitary sewer line cleaning by removing debris and tree roots with a combination of high water pressure and tools designed to accomplish the job. The information flyer can be downloaded at the below link.
 
 
 
UPDATE: Feb 5th 2024
 
 Phase 3 of the Waterview Estates rehab will be starting February the 12th. Homeowner's sewer laterals will be shut off during the install/cure, likely for about 2 hours. Contractor will notify the homeowner the day before they work on their lateral. Contractor will also knock on the door to let them know when the liner is installed and fully blocked off. Contractor will again knock when they are free to use at will. The first notification will include a doorhanger which you may download at this link.
 
 
 
 UPDATE: November 11, 2023
 
The City of Greenfield, IN has contracted Insight Pipe Contracting to rehabilitate sanitary sewers in the vicinity of your home or business. This rehabilitation is being performed using trenchless procedures, so there will be little or no need for excavation. We are currently performing diagnostic work, televising in the agreed upon sewer segments.

Frozen Pipes

frozenthermometerIt is that time of year and the temperatures are dipping below freezing again at night. Frozen water lines in our homes can be prevented.

Here some tips:
-Allow a small amount of water to run from multiple faucets.
-Shut off and drain outside water faucets before freezing occurs.
-Insulate walls nears exposed piping.
