Mayor Richard J. Pasco

Richard Pasco was born September 15, 1947, the youngest son of Charles and Marianne Pasco. With the exception of education and four years in the United States Navy, I have resided in Greenfield my entire life. My sister, Salli Williams and brother David (Janice) Pasco have likewise resided most of their lives in Greenfield.

My family includes my loving wife Joan (Goddard) , daughters Jennifer Pasco-Beck and Patricia Pasco. I have one son Richard Pasco II. Jennifer lives in Gahanna, Ohio with her husband Doug and two wonderful grandsons, Zac and Jacob. Patrica and Richard both live in Virgina.

In 1971 I returned after serving four years in the United States Navy Submarine Service and became the forth generation in our family funeral home.

My first involvement with the City of Greenfield came in 1972, when Mayor Bill Blue appointed me to the Greenfield Park Board. I served on the board for five years and was president for two of those years. I was later elected to serve my first term as a Council Member at Large. I was elected to five terms and spent twenty of twenty four years as a councilman. The four year break was when I was given the opportunity to serve Kiwanis International as the Governor of the Indiana District. During the twenty four years I also served on the Greenfield Planning Commission, Council for Economic Development, United Way, Greenfield Country Club, and Hancock County Boys and Girls Club. I am currently serving as a Councilman at large on the Hancock County Council.
