Plan Commission

The Plan Commission, a nine member board, serves to consider hearings and requests for rezoning of property, zoning recommendations for annexed territories, amendment to the Zoning Code, development plan approvals and amendments thereof, traditional neighborhood plan approvals, subdivision plats, vacations of public ways and easements, or vacations and amendments of plats.

Prior to the filing of a petition, please contact the Plan Commission Secretary to discuss sketch plan review requirements.  A sketch plan review with staff is required prior to the filing of a subdivision plat.  For every application which is to be heard by the Plan Commission, notice shall be given in a newspaper of general circulation in Greenfield, Indiana, in the form prescribed in the Plan Commission's Rules of Procedures.  Prior to a hearing, and subsequent to a filing, the Technical Advisory Committee of the Plan Commission may review a petition and provide a recommendation to the Plan Commission.
