New tree trimming drop off requirements

Due to increased abuse by non-city residents access to the drop off area will be restricted to only those who can provide proof of residence within the City of Greenfield.  Please note that access will now require proof of residency and a valid driver's license. A new sign has been installed detailing the process for entering and exiting the drop off area.

Book Donations

Make a clean sweep and get a tax break for helping the Hancock County Public Library. On Monday, June 22, drop off gently used books, DVDs, and music CDs at the side delivery entrance (northeast corner) of the library in Greenfield booksbetween 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. A volunteer will assist when someone rings the bell. Please request your tax receipt at the same time.

Because of limited space, donations can only be made on specified dates.

Look for bargain books and other media for sale on shelves near the Greenfield entrance, to the left. Prices range from 50 cents to two dollars. The branch in New Palestine also has sale items on a marked cart.

Proceeds from sales by the Friends of the Hancock County Public Library, a non-profit volunteer group, fund free concerts and children's events.
