Description: Thornwood Nature Preserve, is a 40 acre woodland, donated by Herb and Judy Brown for the enjoyment of all! Whether you love nature, hiking, or camping, this Preserve has a lot to offer. This park features 7 trails(ranging in difficulty from moderate to rugged), a campground (weekends only, staff member must be present), a diversity of habitats, wildlife, birds, and native flora and fauna, 15 blue learning posts ,2 creeks, a suspension bridge, and variety of Family Nature Programing is available (Call 317-477-4340 for more information).
