![]() The Pennsy Trail is a 3-mile linear park that resulted from a "rails-to-trails" project along the old Pennsylvania Railroad. It is asphalt paved and intended for walking, jogging, biking and rollerblading. Historical markers are located along the trail at points of interest.
The new Pennsy Trail extension opened July 2009. This extension is another 3 mile linear trail that resulted from an $800,000 Indiana State Trail Grant. This trail would not be possible without the generosity of Covance. The trail right of way was donated so that the route could cross through the north end of their property. Eli Lilly also donated land for this trail extension.
