Investigations

The Investigations Division at Greenfield Police Department consists of 1 Detective/Lieutenant and 1 Detective/Sergeants and 2 Detectives.  With the leadership of the Detective/Lieutenant, the Investigations Division works cases of fraud, theft, drug activity, assaults, robbery, muder and domestic/family violence.

The Investigations Division work Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M to 4:00 P.M. and are on call for all other hours of the day and night should the need arise.

The Investigations Division can also be contacted to speak to local groups regarding criminal activity and keeping the community alert to changes in neighborhoods.

Information on drug activity can be reported to the Investigations Division. You may also call (317) 477-drug. All calls remain anonymous.

2011 Traffic Safety Report

The City of Greenfield is one of the Safest cities in Indiana if not the country to operate a vehicle. The police department has continued to enforce traffic laws and make arrests. The street department has upddated and is continually making sure the proper traffic control devices are in place and that the streets are clear of snow and in good condition. The engineering department is continually making sure the new construction is being and properly designed to make the streets safe. Together, all the city departments are working to make oour sity the safest it can be. Overall, this Traffic Safety report shows the we, the City of Greenfield, are doing a great job and the citizens of Greenfield are reaping the benefits.
