Accident reports are available 7-10 business days after the accident. Copies can be purchased for $6.00. Checks or money orders accepted made out to Greenfield Police Department. NO CASH.

Incident reports (theft, vandalism, property damage, etc) are available 72 hours after the incident. Copies can be purchased for $4.00. Checks or money orders accepted made out to Greenfield Police Department. NO CASH.

Either can be picked up Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Insurance agents or law firms requesting reports by mail need to send the request including the date of the accident/incident, name of party involved, and location of the accident/incident along with the check in the appropriate amount and a self addressed, stamped envelope for the report to be returned. We do not accept phone or fax requests.

2010 Traffic Safety Report

The City of Greenfield is one of the Safest cities in Indiana if not the country to operate a vehicle. The police department has continued to enforce traffic laws and make arrests. The street department has updated and is continually making sure the proper traffic control devices are in place and that the streets are clear of snow and in good condition. The engineering department is continually making sure that new construction is properly designed to make the streets safe. Together, all the city departments are working to make our city the safest it can be. Overall, this Traffic Safety report shows that the City of Greenfield is doing a great job and the citizens of Greenfield are reaping the benefits.
