Recruitment
To be considered for full time employment at the Greenfield Fire Department, an applicant must be between the ages of 21 and 36, a high school graduate or equivalent, have a good driving record and valid operators license, be of at least average strength and agility, be able to complete a written general knowledge test, complete a physical agility test, and complete a series of interviews both structured and informal. In addition to the listed skills, if hired, the applicant will be required to complete mandatory training as set forth by the State of Indiana, complete Firefighter I,II training as set forth by the National Fire Protection Association and complete EMT training. Anyone applying for a paramedic spot will also be required to pass a written paramedic exam. Other conditions or considerations for employment may apply for some positions.
* Minimum age requirement for volunteer positions is 18
